Akshardham

"Akshardham" implies the celestial dwelling place God. It is hailed as an everlasting spot of commitment, virtue and peace. Swaminarayan Akshardham at New Delhi is a Mandir – a habitation God, a Hindu place of love, and a profound and social grounds committed to dedication, learning and agreement. Immortal Hindu otherworldly messages, dynamic reverential conventions and old engineering all are reverberated in its craft and architecture.The mandir is an unassuming tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781-1830), the symbols, devas and awesome sages of Hinduism. The generally styled complex was initiated on 6 November 2005 with the gifts of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and through the gave endeavors of talented artisans and volunteers

More than 300,000,000 volunteer hours went into making the complex 

More than 8,000 volunteers from over the world took an interest in building it 

Mandir worked from unpredictably cut sandstone and marble 

Displays on Hinduism, including Bhagwan Swaminarayan's life and teachings, for example, petition, empathy, and peacefulness. 

Open greenery enclosures, water bodies and step-all around styled yard
Since Vedic times, India has a glorious tradition of respecting rivers, lakes and stepwells. Following this tradition, a sacred water body, Narayan Sarovar, surrounds the main Akshardham mandir. Narayan Sarovar contains the holy waters of 151 rivers and lakes sanctified by Bhagwan Swaminarayan, including Manasarovar, Pushkar Sarovar, Pampa Sarovar, Indradyumna Sarovar, Manikarnika Ghat, Prayag Triveni Sangam, River Kshipra, Rivers Ganga and Yamuna and many others. 
On the outer wall of the mandir are 108 bronze gaumukhs, symbolizing 108 names of God, from which holy water spouts forth.

10 to 15 minutes
Note: Deposit your shoes in a shoe-rack outside the Abhishek Mandap. Please wash your hands before entering and maintain silence during Abhishek.
