Madhya Pradesh ('MP) (/ˈmɑːdjə prəˈdɛʃ/, About this sound (help·info), which means Central Province) is a state in focal India. Its capital is Bhopal and the biggest city is Indore. Nicknamed the "heart of India" because of its geological area in India, Madhya Pradesh is the second-biggest state in the nation by range. With more than 75 million occupants, it is the fifth-biggest state in India by populace. It outskirts the conditions of Uttar Pradesh toward the upper east, Chhattisgarh toward the southeast, Maharashtra toward the south, Gujarat toward the west, and Rajasthan toward the northwest. This state was the biggest in India by range until 2000, when its southeastern Chhattisgarh district was made a different state. 

As of late, the state's GDP development has been over the national average.[5] 

Rich in mineral assets, MP has the biggest stores of precious stone and copper in India. Over 30% of its territory is under backwoods cover. Its tourism industry has seen significant development, with the state besting the National Tourism Awards in 2010–11
